The following holsters are appoved for use by Department personnel during the normal course of their duties. The Safariland 280S holster remains the current Department issue holster.

Personnel are authorized to use the Safariland Sentry Lock device on their Safariland model 6280 & 6285 holsters. The Sentry Lock allows the user to engage an additional locking device in order to secure the weapon within the holster. The Sentry Lock is model number 6001. The hood device (6000) is NOT authorized for personnel.
The Safariland 6004 is the only approved holster for tactical use. It is restricted to armed personnel wearing bulky external armor or entry vests during tactical operations. Tactical holsters are not authorized for use while performing routine law enforcement duties.
